A great resource for West Virignia lawyers

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the West Virginia Record. This online and print publication covers statewide West Virignia court news, including local news from a whole host of counties. I'm not sure who is behind the publication, but the articles seem to have a decidedly pro-business bent. They have an RSS feed, which can be found here.

Every 7-14 days, the Record publishes articles called "This Just In" that list the new civil suit filings for several West Virginia counties, including Berkeley, Cabell, Kanawha, Mason, Mingo, Monongalia, Ohio, Putnam, Upshur and Wayne. (Here is an example of the most recent article from Berkeley County). "This Just In" is a terrific resource I don't think you can find anywhere else. Every West Virginia practitioner should have the West Virginia Record's RSS feed in their news aggregator.

Here is background info on the Madison County Record which I suspect is related to the West Virginia Record based on the similarity in layout and design. Here is the article from the Washington Post cited in Evan Schaeffer's post.

Although some of the commentary and writing is not always unbias and certainly has a pro business anti litigation bent -- I'm impressed by the reporting on newly filed cases around West Virginia. I also like that they are leading the media in West Virginia by providing RSS feed features similar to the State Journal and now the West Virginia Legislature - it allows me to more closely monitor ongoing/filed litigation in West Virginia.
